  • BYOK
  • Local history
  • No account required

What it does

An assistant that works the way Windows does.

SideNote Pro is built as a native Windows 11 utility, not a browser tab pretending to be an app.

01

One shortcut away

Press Ctrl+Shift+Space from anywhere in Windows and SideNote Pro appears next to whatever you are already doing. No hunting for a browser tab, no switching context, no rearranging the desktop to make room for a chat window.

02

Stays where you need it

Keep it above your other windows, snap it to the edge of the screen, or let it retract into a slim leash on the right until you need it again. Transparency and text brightness are adjustable so it sits comfortably over your work.

03

Bring your own AI

SideNote Pro does not sell you AI. You choose an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, pick the model and use your own API key. There is no SideNote Pro subscription and no hosted proxy in between.

04

Your history stays local

Threads, history and search live on your Windows device. Your API key is protected with Windows DPAPI for your Windows account, and conversation history can optionally be protected the same way.

Privacy

Your assistant doesn’t need another cloud account.

SideNote Pro does not receive your conversation. There is no SideNote Pro backend in the path and no BediniLabs AI proxy. The AI provider you configure does receive the requests you submit to it, and applies its own privacy, retention, billing and usage policies — so choosing a provider you trust is part of using SideNote Pro.

Read the privacy policy
  • No SideNote Pro account
  • No telemetry or product analytics
  • No advertising
  • No SideNote Pro cloud history
  • No cloud synchronisation
  • Configuration stays on your device
  • Conversation archive stays on your device
  • API key protected with Windows DPAPI
  • Messages are sent only when you submit them
  • Screenshots are captured only when you start one
  • Clipboard images are read only when you attach them
  • Content goes to the AI provider you configured
Screen capture

Ask about what’s on your screen, when you choose.

  1. Start a capture from SideNote Pro. The window briefly hides itself so it is not in the way.
  2. Drag to select any region of the desktop you want to ask about.
  3. The selection is attached to your next message. You can also paste an image from the clipboard or drag one onto the window.

Nothing is continuously watching your screen.

There is no background capture and no automatic screen awareness. A screenshot exists only because you started one, and it is sent only when you submit the message it is attached to.

Scope

An assistant, not another workspace.

SideNote Pro is a focused Windows utility. It does one job next to your work instead of asking you to move your work into it.

What it is

  • A global shortcut that works from anywhere in Windows
  • A compact native window that snaps, floats and retracts
  • Streaming answers with Markdown and code you can copy
  • Threads, history and search stored on your device
  • Your own provider, model and API key

What it isn’t

  • No account system to sign up for
  • No web dashboard to manage
  • No SideNote Pro backend handling your conversations
  • No advertising
  • No extra platform layer to learn
How it works

Three steps to set up.

Configure your provider

Enter an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, choose a model, and add your own API key. The key is stored locally and protected with Windows DPAPI.

Press the shortcut

Use Ctrl+Shift+Space from anywhere in Windows. Change it to whatever suits you, and decide whether the window floats on top, snaps to an edge or retracts into the drawer.

Ask and keep working

Chat, attach an image or capture part of the screen — without turning the assistant into the centre of your desktop.
